TTB Tapes in Proud Association with the Wentworth Foundation
Therapeutic Tapes + Bandages is proud to sponsor and be associated with the Wentworth Foundation, a humanitarian organisation providing free treatment and rehabilitation for impoverished children with Cleft Lip / Palate and craniofacial anomalies in KwaZulu-Natal.
The services were started by Dr. Surandar Singh (Sikki) in 1991 and was initially located at the Wentworth Provincial Hospital. The Foundation’s mission is based on the premise that all children with craniofacial birth defects such as Cleft Lip / Palate have a right to services relating to the treatment and rehabilitation of such conditions irrespective of their financial status, the color of their skin or their religion.
In 2007 because of financial. equipment and space constraints the clinic moved from the Wentworth Provincial Hospital to a private clinic presently located in the Durban North area.
Dr. S. Singh and their very competent volunteer clinical team continue to provide free services in the treatment and rehabilitation of indigent children born with Cleft / Lip Palate.
Over the years the Wentworth Foundation has been recipient of numerous awards including the following:
• World Cleft Lip and Palate Association Award – 2011
• Health Profession Council of South Africa (HPCSA) – 2010
• Pharma Chem Award – 2009
• Rotary Club Durban Award – 2009
• Kwa Zulu Natal Branch of the South African Dental Association - 2008
